On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my warm-est welcome to all participants in the 3rd Energy & Water Conservation Expo 2010. We are excited about our mission of inspiring everyone through holding this expo. As we realize more and more that our natural resources are going to run out in near future, we are trying harder to develop other means of generating electricity through renewable resources such as solar, tidal, hydro-electric, wind power etc. and other alternative sources such as nuclear energy.

We are profoundly concerned that our natural resources both for electricity and water fall far short of requirement due to enormous amount of consumption. The Expo aims at raising public awareness about the importance of energy and water conservation alongside highlighting the changes required in our energy and water policies to curb growth in consumption and to avert exhusting these resources.

Despite the challenges we face today about climate change and high electricity and water consumption among other concerns, yet we are optimist. We believe that human being is capable of great things. The feedback that we received from our previous expo has only encouraged and strengthened this belief. The number one question we got, how can we become a part in this process? How can we become more involved in protecting our planet?

To make this mission a reality we are focused on three core areas; ?rst outreach public by holding this expo every year, second through online where we can provide tips to the public on how to participate in making this happen and third showcasing environmental friendly technology for energy & water management, thermal insulation, energy ef?cient appliances & products etc. for reducing greenhouse gas emissionto protect our environment.

I would like to thank all the members in the organizing committee who have worked very hard for the conference and all participants consisting of senior government representatives, private sector participants, professionals and experts in the ?elds of electricity and water conser-vation to make previouse expos sucessful.

I look forward to seeing you all in the Energy & Water Conservation Expo 2010.
